LOCKDOWN turn up
To put it lightly, 2020 has been unique. Like most people, I was holed up in my home for three months quarantining with my family. As a mid-twenty something, living in New York City, this could have easily seemed like the end of the world, but the fun did not stop, and it never will.
Ian’s 21st bIRTHDAY
What could be more tragic than me turning 25 in quarantine? A: My brother, Ian, turning 21. He planned on spending the entirety of his evening playing Xbox live and drinking beer, but with decor from Publix, some fine cuisine (Kentucky Fried Chicken), and a few creative ideas, we tried to make it as special as possible.
Emily’s Ristorante
Like my brother and many other’s, my friend, Emily had to cancel her birthday plans. She was set for a big dinner at Rubirosa Ristorante (rated 9.2 by Infatuation), but obviously the CDC did not allow for that to happen. Even though her birthday went from a table of 14 to 4, and I couldn't perfectly recreate the famous vodka pizza, I tried to make it nice.
VackCine Development
Each summer, my friends and I spend the Fourth of July in Nantucket. Although, the world started to open, the holiday looked very different this year. We skipped the Chicken Box and chose to do a nice dinner at home.
MK’S Pink Picnic
Okay, so we took this one outside to Sheep’s Meadow. I had the pleasure of planning my angel roommate’s 25th birthday birthday picnic. Even though, I had to lug all of the supplies uptown (I bought myself a pink wagon for the occasion) I wouldn’t change anything. It was the most perfect day. Good pictures are by Jeremy Liebman. Shit pictures are by my Iphone.
